Treatment # 6

So today Carmine finished his 6th treatment. He was really in good spirits this morning which really makes it hard for me to drop him off because there are days that it seems like there is nothing wrong. He did see two of his friends outside the hospital this morning so he was excited to get going.

I also restarted the acupuncture I was giving to him before he started radiation. It helps with swelling and it helps with his neck issue. What I love about City of Angels is that they have acupuncture under the same roof. I didn't want to traumatize him by going from hospital to hospital. The acupuncturist, Dr. Shift, was great. She actually sat on the floor with Carmine, on a blanket in a very non-clinic kind of room. He was really relaxed and she said that he will be overly exhausted.

The one thing today is that they gave him prednisone(steroid) to help with any swelling. I am not sure I am %100 sure about giving it to him because of side effects but I am comfortable with their decisions so far.

Looking forward to Friday because there will only be 7 treatments left:)
